Verifying Your Identity: What You Need To Do

Here at TikTok Shop, we want to provide our users with a fun yet safe shopping environment. At times, we may ask you to re-verify your identity (ID). This can happen if we detect risk from your shop or products, such as a spike in negative customer reviews or policy violations. This guide covers how to re-verify your identity, including what documents you'll need to have ready.

Steps to complete verification:

When you receive the verification task, click "verify now" to begin verification. Please note, you'll need to use the same personal information you submitted during onboarding.

Requirements For Supporting Images

Do ✅

• Documents must be valid and not expired
• Include a clear, high-quality, complete, and color image of your government-issued photo ID
• Your photo and personal information in the ID must be clear and visible
• Your information in the ID must match the information you used to register your TikTok Shop account
• Images must be less than 10 MB and in JPG or JPEG format

Don't ⛔

• Use angled, blurry, cropped, or altered (such as filtered) images
• Use screenshots with banners and icons from your phone or computer in the image
  

Requirements for the Supporting Video

Do ✅

• For individual sellers
  • You must appear in the video. The video must have sound/audio.
• For corporate sellers
  • Your business representative must appear in the video (this is the person whose personal information was provided when you registered your TikTok Shop account)
• Show both the front and back of your government-issued photo ID
  • INE
  • Passport
  • Residence Card
• Your face must be fully visible in the video without any obstructions such as sunglasses hats

NOTE: Reading glasses are allowed. Avoid any glasses that potentially mask your eyes.
