TikTok Shop Seller Enforcement Policy

This policy outlines how TikTok Shop addresses violations of our policies. We constantly review your shop's compliance with our policies. If your shop violates any of our policies, or does not meet our performance standards, we may take enforcement actions. If you prefer to learn through video, we’ve also prepared an educational video that explains this policy in a simple and visual way.Key Points:
- TikTok Shop may take enforcement actions when your shop violates our policies or does not meet our performance standards. These include deducting points from your Account Health Rating. But points can also be earned by successfully fulfilling orders or passing the policy quiz (available soon).
- We will take additional enforcement actions when your Account Health Rating drops to 150, 100, 50 and 0 points. Passing the milestone quiz (available soon) will reduce the impact of these enforcement actions.
- You can appeal or correct your violations, but these are subject to strict timelines, so check your Account Health Rating page regularly! If your appeal or correction is successful, we will remove the enforcement actions for these violations and restore any privileges withdrawn.

Account Health Rating
The Account Health Rating is the main component of our enforcement policy. It is a color-coded numerical score (from 0 to 1,000) that provides a snapshot of the overall health of your seller account. It reflects the points you have earned and lost based on your shop's activities over the last 180 days. Points may be deducted when a policy is violated or your shop does not meet our performance standards, while points will be added for successfully fulfilling a minimum number of orders or passing the policy quiz. All sellers start off with 200 points when you join TikTok Shop.- If your Account Health Rating is red, it means your shop has 50 or fewer points and is at risk of deactivation. If your Account Health Rating hits 0, your seller account will be deactivated.
- If your Account Health Rating is orange, it means your shop has 51 to 199 points. It is at risk of receiving or has received milestone enforcement actions.
- If your Account Health Rating is green, it means your shop has at least 200 points and is in a healthy state.
Addition Of PointsYou can earn points in two ways:
- For every 300 orders marked as "Completed" in the Seller Center in the last 180 days. Sample orders, and orders that were returned, refunded, cancelled, or defective in any way are not included.
- Your shop can only earn a maximum of 200 points through this method.
- For taking and passing every policy quiz (available soon) tagged to a violation.
If we approve your appeal against a violation, or the actions you take to correct a violation, any points deducted for that violation will also be returned to your Account Health Rating.

Milestone Enforcements
If your Account Health Rating drops to 150, 100, 50, or 0 points, we will take additional enforcement actions at each of these milestones. These are called milestone enforcement actions. Additionally, your shop's traffic may be affected.

If you want to correct a violation, you must do so within 12 to 72 hours of being notified of it. The exact time period depends on the violation. We will review your corrective actions and, if we deem them sufficient, we will not take the enforcement actions attached to the violation.

Best Practices When Dealing With Violations
- Check your email and Seller Center Inbox once a day so you can act quickly to address any violations.
- For example, milestone enforcements are one of the situations where we will not immediately take enforcement actions. To avoid these enforcement actions, submit your appeals or correct your violations as soon as possible, within the stipulated period, to kickstart our review process.
- Head over to the Account Health Rating Page in the Seller Center as soon as you are notified of a violation to see what actions you can take.
- If the violation has a "View" button, it means you received a warning with no enforcement actions taken, or the appeal or correction window has closed. You should still click on it to learn more about which policy was violated and what actions you can take to avoid re-violating in future.
- If the violation has a "View & Appeal", "View & Correct", or "View & Appeal/Correct" button, click on it to learn more about the violation, and what supporting documentation you need to provide or actions you need to take if you want to appeal or correct the violation.
- Pay attention to your most common violations; these will be indicated on the Account Health Rating page in the Seller Center. The more you repeat a violation, the stronger the enforcement actions will be for every additional violation.
- For example, if your shop has violated our Prohibited Products Policy four times, we may issue you just a warning for the first violation, but we may start deducting an increasing number of points from your second violation onwards.
- (Available soon) Take quizzes as often as you can! For every quiz you pass, you gain points or reduce the duration of your milestone enforcements.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What does it mean for points to reset every 180 days? The points you earn or lose will be reset every 180 days. This can be illustrated as follows:- Your Account Health Rating is currently 200. You earned 2 points for passing a quiz on December 1, 2024, bringing your total to 202 points. These 2 points will only remain on your Rating for 180 days. On May 30, 2025, your Account Health Rating will return to 200 points, assuming you did not lose or gain any other points during this period.
- The same principle applies to points you lose. For example, your Rating is currently 200. You lose 2 points for a violation on December 30, 2024, bringing your total to 198. These 2 points will be returned to your Rating after 180 days. So, on June 28, 2025, your Rating will return to 200 points, assuming you did not lose or gain any other points during this period.
- However, this rule does not apply to points that are returned to you after a successful appeal or correction.
